Overview
This is a course that has a lot of history, with Tom Simpson's original design partner, Philip Mackenzie Ross, designing the 18 holes in a redesign. Estoril is one of the most important clubs in Portuguese history, helping set up the Portuguese Golfing Federation in 1949. Today it has tight fairways, is a bit hilly, and is reasonably short at just over 5600-yards as it only has two Par5s. The 14th is a standout, measuring 392-yards, with a dog-leg left and a par 4 to contend with.
