A bit like snowboarding on water, wakeboarding offers an adrenalin rush for you and a good laugh for spectators. Unless you’re one of those annoying people who picks it up straight away. You wait in the water holding the handle attached to the pull cable, waiting for it to tauten and force you up. If you can stand, you’ll be towed around at speed, but it stops if (when) you fall. Once you’ve got the basics – or if you’re a pro – you can have a go at ramps and jumps at these purpose-built sites.

Great fun, and well run. Get fit or at least warm up before your turn. At 61 the physical demands were more than I was comfortable with. The ride on the round float was exhilarating, culminating in being thrown off by the devious operator!

Excellent experience. Staff at the site did everything they could to make it as good as possible. None of that "that's it u have had a go" stuff as they kept asking if we had all had enough time on the boards. Instructors were very good what ever our skill level

Absolutely brilliant, thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it (despite the freezing cold water). The instructor was fantastic and made the experience all the more memorable.
