Despite its name, CATS hostel does not host any cats. What it IS host to is the title of one of the best party hostels in Porto. Take to the open sea in a kayak made for two. Under the guidance of an expert instructor, you’ll learn all the basic paddling and steering skills, before cruising around the bay, soaking up the scenery and getting stuck into some fun games and team challenges on the water.

Learn to ride the waves in style, as expert instructors teach you the basics of surfing. After getting to grips with the key moves and safety tips on the sand, you'll grab your board and head out into the white water, progressing from catching a wave lying down to riding standing up.

Learn how to bump and grind like the pros, as you and your group get to grips with pole dancing in a relaxed, private environment under the close guidance of an expert instructor. After warming up with some stretches and floor moves, this fun lesson will teach you how to perform basic spins and tricks, sliding seductively down the pole and throwing in some super sexy manoeuvres.

Have you got the skill, guile and powers of deduction needed to escape before time runs out? You and your teammates will be locked inside a room and presented with a unique, immersive scenario to unravel, before trying to tackle a variety of hidden puzzles, mental tasks and code-breaking challenges in this fast-paced race against the clock. You’ll need teamwork, brainpower and nerves of steel as you attempt to solve a series of tricky clues and break out of your confines before your hour is up.

Zorb Football is a chaotic and hilarious twist on the beautiful game, as you strap yourselves into your giant inflatable bubbles, step onto the pitch, then bounce, barge and bump your way through a pulsating five-a-side match. A referee will be on hand to run through the rules and keep things in order, while subs will be rotated every few minutes to ensure everybody gets plenty of game time.

Recreate the intense action of the battlefield, as you don your overalls, load your weapons and split into teams, before taking on a series of combat games across a specially designed outdoor course. This high octane military simulation experience will see you delve deep into enemy territory, pursue different targets and try to take out your opposition by firing at them with high speed paintballs, while doing everything you can to avoid being shot with pellets yourself.

Recreate the excitement of F1, with this mini Grand Prix style racing showdown. Get kitted out in racing gear and warm up with a few practice laps around the track. Then it’s onto the timed qualifiers, where you’ll share the track with your rivals as each of you tries to clock the fastest lap. These times decide your starting positions for the grand final, where you’ll battle it out to see who takes the the chequered flag first. Top it off with podium presentations for the top three drivers.

Learn how to prepare some traditional Portuguese dishes. Your very own expert chef will guide you through the process and you can put your culinary skills to the test by helping prepare some of the meals. At the end of the workshop you will get to enjoy the tasty 3 course meal, while enjoying some delicious local wine. You will also receive recipe cards so you can recreate the dishes when you get home.

Experience the magic of mixology as you get behind a well-stocked bar to learn the tricks of the trade from a skilled flaring expert. You’ll be provided with all the ingredients and instruction to learn to make a classic cocktail, before enjoying sampling your own creations.
