UK Product Manager

Based next to Maltby Street Market in the heart of Bermondsey near to both London Bridge and Tower Bridge, we employ 100 full time staff and have an annual revenue in excess of £20 million.

Purpose of the job:

We are looking for a confident, innovative, ambitious, product manager who has a passion for travel, superb negotiation skills and is great with people.

Duties and responsibilities:

Supplier Relations and Contracting

  • Act as the main point of contact for all current suppliers via e-mail and telephone
  • Negotiate contracted rates and allocations
  • Observe booking and allocation stock levels
  • Negotiate specials, exclusive offers and unique products
  • Maintain supplier quality levels with the assistance of customer feedback
  • Target new suppliers
  • Develop new products with existing suppliers
  • Reinforce relationships with current suppliers including site visits and event attendance
  • Keep supplier records up to date to ensure continuity of contacts
  • Manage accident reporting and ensure relevant documents are collected and forwarded to Operations
  • Override deal negotiations
  • Health and safety assessments


  • Manage supplier visits to the office and coordinate supplier training sessions (for sales team)
  • Training and support for junior members of the team

Market Analysis

  • Analyse product conversion stats
  • Complete regular price analysis
  • Identify trends within the market

Web Content

  • Ensure product information, pictures, packages and prices displayed on the website are correct and enticing
  • Provide written copy for new or existing products

Sales Support

  • Offer support and assistance to all the members of the sales team
  • Handle trouble shooting and complaints with regards to suppliers
  • New staff product training
  • New system and product training for existing staff
  • "Fam trip" organising and leading

The Person


  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Experience of the hotel and accommodation industry
  • Supplier relations experience
  • Contracting experience
  • Procurement/Product management and/or development
  • Organised with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to develop strong business relationships
  • Motivation to work independently
  • Full UK Drivers licence
  • Proactive and forward thinking
  • Ability to learn new systems
  • Sales team training

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience of the activities Industry
  • Microsoft office intermediate skills
  • Google Analytics experience
