Chillisauce is an exciting, dynamic, events company located in the heart of London, near both Waterloo and Blackfriars. Established over 20 years, Chillisauce is the largest provider of Stag, Hen and Activity weekends in the UK.

A new position has arisen for a Head of Sales to manage a team of 23 Account Managers.

The account managers handle incoming sales enquiries, walking customers through the process of creating a stag or hen party itinerary and persuading them to buy.

The Job

The Head of Sales will manage that team to ensure that customers receive excellent service and that sales opportunities are maximised through: recruitment, training, staff motivation and ensuring existing processes are adhered to and improved upon.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsibility for the management of the sales team.
  • Sales team recruitment
  • New recruit training (including product, sales, process, internal systems and customer service training)
  • Existing staff pre-sale training
  • Ensure that Account Managers retain a consistently excellent, customer-focused approach
  • Existing staff post-sale training
  • Ensure best practice is adhered to
  • Identifying poor performers and remedying that performance
  • Enact changes to sales processes
  • Promoting new practices and technology with a can-do attitude that motivates and persuades existing team members
  • Integrate with other areas of the business to drive revenue and profitability
  • Running incentives and competitions
  • Maintaining working from home, weekend and on call rotas
  • Complaint oversight (in tandem with Customer Services Manager)
  • Supplier liaison (in concert with the Product Team)
  • Ensuring a strong team culture

Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

  • An excellent working knowledge of sales and customer service
  • A history of managing teams to hit sales targets
  • The ability to transmit this understanding in a way that inspires and enthuses their team
  • A strong interest in social events and activities
  • An outgoing and sociable personality

Candidate Skills

MUST HAVE SKILLS
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to present, influence and be naturally persuasive
  • Customer-focused attitude with a drive to ensure that customers receive a superb experience from Chillisauce
  • Strong track record as a sales manager
  • Aptitude for identifying causes of poor performance and remedying them
  • Ability to transmit best practice to Account Managers with a wide variety of shortcomings
  • Can do attitude
  • Ability to manage upwards and downwards, translating instructions into action in the best interests of the company
  • Experience in recruiting and training account managers
NICE TO HAVE
  • Knowledge of the Stag and Hen industry
  • Experience in the travel industry
