Hood Archery

Your 1 hour session includes an experienced archery instructor and full tuition on the art of using a recurve longbow. Each participant will be taught how to hold a bow, aim and shoot at an official competition size archery target using aluminium shafted arrows.

With expert instructors on hand to show you the ropes (and make sure no one accidentally shoots their mate!), you’ll be letting arrows fly in no time. The gear’s all sorted—bows, arrows, and safety kit are provided—so all you need to bring is your competitive streak and maybe a victory dance.

Challenge your group to a head-to-head shootout or work together to hit the mark. Either way, it’s the perfect mix of adrenaline and amusement. No experience? No problem! Beginners are welcome, and even the worst aim will have the group in stitches.

Archery in the wooded depths of Sherwood Forest, you could say it is the Spiritual home of Archery, courtesy of Robin Hood and his Band of Merry Men. Whether you are a Maid Marian or more of a Friar Tuck, you will LOVE the chance to learn how to shoot arrows on target at our woodland glade Archery venue. Unfortunately, there is no Sheriff of Nottingham to aim for as you send those quivering arrows whistling through the air, but you will still be aiming for Gold as you stand opposite the Bull’s Eye, bow in hand. With experienced tuition, you will quickly learn how to load the bow and shoot like a Skilled Marksman, putting your Archery skills into practice for around an hour at this tranquil glade in the middle of Nottinghamshire woodland.

Test your precision and nerve with a session that combines the ancient art of archery with the thrill of tomahawk throwing. You’ll start with expert tuition and plenty of practice, learning how to handle the equipment safely and confidently before the competition begins. Using left- and right-handed bows, everyone gets the chance to perfect their aim, then step it up with tomahawks for an added test of strength and accuracy. Expect plenty of laughs, friendly rivalry and bragging rights as you battle it out in a contest of pure skill. The experience lasts around one hour, depending on group size.
