Afternoon Tea & Cocktails

Cocktails were lovely, you get 2 at a time. Afternoon Tea, was not catered for for people with dietary requirements.

We were left for 50 mins before receiving our food. Server was great and apologetic but at 1.45 we were told to leave the table so that it could be prepped for the next one but we were booked till 2pm..food was good when we did get it but we were limited in what drinks we could have...so hit and miss..could be better.

The table was not ready on arrival. Various items were changed on the menu.

Overall Good but can’t give five stars as the table wasn’t ready when we arrived and several items on the menu weren’t available

Some items on the menu were unavailable and no alternative was offered. But the food that was provided was very nice and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Dietary requirements were given and although they were told by the bar that they could not adhere to them chillisauce did not pass this information on and some of the guests didn't eat. Everyone seemed to get a different amount of sandwiches and part of it was missed off altogether

Poor service

Slow service!! Waited 2 hours for food and only had the table for 2 hours. Rubbish sandwiches, most had 1 piece of chicken and tried to charge us 160 for the tea even though we had a package....watch out for this!!

Not impressed, we were sat for an hour before we got any drinks, sandwiches were good, cake OK, could have done with something savoury though

Not good at all, the tiny bit of food we got was frozen

Awful 1/2 a sandwich each and frozen cake. That bad we all orderex a meal after afternoon teA.. Tbf wasnt much better oor service from such a big chain

They had no table ready for us we had to wait 10 minutes before they arranged one, even though we had rang and informed them we may be late and we was told they will give the table away if so. When we finally got seated no staff seemed to know what they where doing or trying to come take any orders from us, it took us giving them a nudge and being passed from pillar to post before we finally got our orders taken. And afternoon tea?? Contained some Sandwiches, not one other single savoury piece of food. Then the rest was sweet (brownies, scones, rocky road) really nice food just disappointing service and not the afternoon tea you would expect.

Not enough savory on the afternoon tea, and we had booked through chilli sauce for 14 people but they had only confirmed 13 on the menu. We had to pay £18 for the 14th person to be able to have their share, and at bang on 7pm we were moved off the table to make way for another booking. We stayed until gone 8pm and no ither parties came meaning the table was left empty

Table was overcrowded because the venue only had a booking for 10, when it should have been for 13. Food, drinks and service were good

The place was beautifully decorated and very pretty. Unfortunately we only had 2 varieties of sandwich when the menu started 4 and the sandwiches barely had any filling in. The cocktails we ordered weren't very nice either although the pornstar martinis were lovely.

No gluten free afternoon plate available. Which I would have liked as gluten free bread and cakes are hugely available everywhere now.

The venue was lovely! Food was ok, nothing amazing we were told there would be three sandwich flavours but only got two, the sandwiches were pretty dry and the cakes were still thawing out!! But the profiteroles were delicious! Food came out on big platters not on the stands, but we were a group of 19 so I guess that makes serving easier!! The staff were friendly and very accommodating to us as we had several dietary requirements.
