The meal was not quite as I expected, I had the chicken rustico which was more English than Italian but was okay. I think the restaurant was short of staff but they did their best and I liked the fact that the waitress called us by name to give us the dish we ordered. The waitress looking after our table was excellent and worked very hard to make sure we were looked after as well as having other customers to look after.

The Venue

Bella Italia - Southampton Hanover

This modern Italian chain restaurant is located in the heart of Southampton’s city centre. It’s a bistro-style space with tiled flooring, rustic interiors and an alfresco dining area. You’ll find a selection of classic Italian dishes like hand-stretched pizzas, fresh pasta and salads. There’s also an extensive wine list, signature Italian cocktails and a vintage gelato cart for dessert.
