Powerturn events are generally based around stunt performance and, although varying from place to place, they will often involve a number of ballerina feats to perform. From pirouetting wheelies to 720 degree spins, you will be judged and scored by your mates who will be armed with ice skating style scoreboards to hold up and rate you. As for steering, you have two options: either one person drives with the other a passenger, or both people attempt to control the vehicle together, each using a different lever.

Sorry snowboarding fans, the UK is not exactly renowned for its snow-packed mountains, but don’t let that stop you. Just like snowboarding, it’s easy to pick up the basics and the principle’s the same, too – speed down the hill! Even the uncoordinated will probably soon be pulling some beginner stunts!

Building a raft that's better, faster and less sinkable than your mates' is pretty much the sole goal of this event. But in the process you're bound to get wet, have a barrell o' laughs and hopefully show off your raft-building prowess. There's no better way to enjoy the snowy slopes than skimming across them at high speeds on a snowmobile with a bunch of horsepower at your disposal. No experience necessary as our guides will tutor the group in basic handling, and necessary protective equipment will be provided. Everyone will love you for the chance to be out in the fresh air, taking in the beautiful surroundings while gunning the high-powered engines of the snowmobiles.

Wake boarding is to water skiing what snowboarding is to regular skiing. It's pretty much all about flicks, tricks and jumps - or most likely for first timers, just trying to stay upright. Actually, we're making it sound harder than it is. Even absolute novices should be able to stand confidently by the end of the session!
There are a couple of different types of water skiing that you will participate in. Essentially you are doing the same thing, but the mode of being dragged along varies between either behind a speedboat, or along a 'dragline'. The draglines act pretty much like the drag lifts that frequent ski resorts - just hold on for grim death as you shoot across a lake on a high speed conveyor belt. This is great for groups as you can get numerous people all participating at the same time.
River rafting is one of the most reliable UK adrenalin sports and also one of the most popular. There are two main forms of white water rafting; man-made and natural rafting. Both have their merits: Man-Made White Water Rafting Obviously for white water rafting you need a river with rapids. As these are limited to mountainous areas, some man-made recreational courses have been built (generally as canoe slalom courses) in flatter areas of the UK. While man-made courses are a reasonable substitute, we would really recommend the natural courses if you're looking for anything more thrilling than a couple of bumps over a few hundred metres of man made rapids. Although no match for natural white water rafting, you will of course have the benefit of being able to do it without having to go miles from civilisation.
