World Cancer Day
World Cancer Day is an international day on Sunday 4th February 2018 to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment. The primary goal of the World Cancer Day is to significantly reduce illness and death caused by cancer by 2020.

About the bra
Based on the Gorgeous t-shirt bra by Debenhams
Guinness World Records' rules state that to be certified the world’s largest bra, the record-attempt bra had to be an exact scaled-up replica of a bra available to buy. The bra is based on a 34 B Gorgeous t-shirt bra by Debenhams. You’ll notice that even the bra clips and buckles are identical.
Facts about the bra
The material alone weighs 75kg and, with the fixings and clips, the overall weight amounts to 90kg – equivalent to 1,800 bras.
The bra is made up of 270 metres of material – that’s the same length as 3 football pitches end to end.
The material covers an area of 375 square metres – enough to cover 26 parking spaces.
It has a bust measurement of 29.6kg – just shy of the width of two tennis courts. The equivalent woman would be a 1360 B.
It quickly dawned on us that making the world’s largest bra was not going to be straightforward. After speaking to tent designers, balloon makers, industrial fabric experts and bra manufacturers, it was clear that there was only ever one perfect candidate to make the bra;Mike Putt Sailmakers. They’re the only remaining sail makers left in London, and with their extensive expertise they were able to make the bra in 4 weeks.
A record busting performance
Anna Orford, the Guinness World Records' adjudicator declared that with a bust measurement of 29.6m and an under bust measurement of 26.72m, we had achievedthe new Guinness World Recordfor the World’s Largest Bra. The record had stood for over 20 years and Guinness World Records said that our bra was one of the best reproduction projects that they had ever seen.

What next for the bra?
As yet the future of the bra is unclear. However, what started life as the world’s largest bra could easily become a giant hammock, a catapult for firing yourself over the neighbour’s fence, a pop-up bra type building, the easiest tent to find at ‘Glasters’ or just the ultimate way to add character to an outside of a modern property.
