Wicklow Gaol
This interactive jail museum takes you back in time to explore one of Ireland's most historic prisons. The 3-story building is made from thick granite and dates back to the 1840s, with the site having housed prisoners for more than 200 years from 1702-1924. Located in the picturesque town of Wicklow, around 30 miles south of Dublin, the jail is now a top tourist destination with actor-guides leading visitors through the haunting corridors, with a bar and bistro serving up food and drinks.
