Overview

Get kitted out in your racing gear before hitting the track for few practice laps to get used to the kart and the course. Then it’s straight down to business in a winner-takes-all sprint race, where you’ll all share the track at the same time, aiming to complete your set number of laps in the fastest time possible and take the chequered flag ahead of your rivals. After the race, it’s time for a podium presentation for the top three drivers.

This was very professional and the squad were raving about it. I was too hungover to take part. The shame.

The Go Karting was really good. However there were issues with transport to the Go Karting. The weekend we were in Madrid was a local holiday and a lot of streets were shut off. We weren't told about this and waited as per instruction outside our hotel to be picked up. However the driver never showed and when he called he couldn't speak English and none of our party spoke good enough Spanish to converse with him. After gaining the help of the reception staff we found out that he was parked a 20 minute walk from the hotel. I am sure the road closures and local holiday were well publicised and a simple message (e-mail or call) either before the day or on the morning would have allowed us to meet him without much issue. This resulted in us being 45 minutes behind schedule. Also it may be advisable to tell people when they are booking that the Go-Karting is situated in a family orientated amusement area. The security guards tried to refuse us entry as the Stag was dressed up and he was not happy with this. We managed to negotiate our way in however.
