Check in
Stay: 2 nights at Travelodge
Travelodge is a clean and modern budget-friendly hotel at the heart of all the action. Located just off Princes Street, it’s surrounded by popular bars, restaurants and shops with easy access to both the Old Town and New Town.
Day 1: Friday night
Eat: Indian meal
Every stag night out needs a decent Indian restaurant, and that's where Ignite steps in. Specialising in authentic Bengali and Indian dishes, Ignite brings the flavours of Bangladesh and Northern India to the streets of Edinburgh with a modern twist. Dig into poppadoms, naan bread, sharing starters and your choice of a main.
Watch: comedy night
Home of the Fringe, if there’s one thing Edinburgh knows, it’s comedy. It’d almost be rude not to see a comedy show while you’re there. Experience the best in live stand-up from touring comedians and rising stars for an evening of drinks and laughs.
Drink: booth & drinks package at ATIK
Get the lads together for a night out at ATIK, a buzzing nightclub with three themed rooms, six bars and a state-of-the-art sound system. You’ll be on the guest list with your own reserved booth, 2 bottles of Bottega Gold prosecco, a bottle of Russian Standard vodka and eight cans of Red Bull.
Day 2: Saturday morning
Do: Highland games
Compete against each other in the fun and popular Highland games. Try out traditional Scottish sporting events like tossing the caber, throwing a sheaf over a pitchfork, haggis rolling, welly hurling and good old tug o’ war. Whoever gets the most points earns some serious bragging rights.
Day 2: Saturday afternoon
Do: whisky tasting at The Wee Pub
It wouldn’t be a trip to Scotland without a whisky tasting. You’ll have Scotland’s smallest pub all to yourselves, but what it may lack in size, it makes up for with atmosphere. A whisky expert will guide you through the world of whisky as you sample four drams each.
Day 2: Saturday evening
Eat: man plank challenge
Are you ready for a food challenge of legends? It’s you and the lads versus a 5ft sharing plank loaded with hot dogs, burgers, wedges, nachos, baby back ribs, BBQ chicken wings and garlic bread. Don’t worry, you’ll have a 2-pint stein of beer or cider to wash it down with. No one is leaving hungry.
Day 2: Saturday night
Do: bar crawl with bar beauties
Starting at The Three Sisters, you’ll have a team of lovely bar crawl beauties to show you the best spots for a drink and make sure you don’t have to queue at the bar. There’ll be free shots at each bar, drinking games, challenges and of course, forfeits for the losers. Plus, get ready for tons of fun photo opportunities.
Drink: club entry at Espionage
The last stop on the bar crawl is Espionage. It’s a lively club with a labyrinth of fun spread across five floors with plenty of bars and dance floors. Some of Edinburgh’s top DJs play everything from chart-toppers to R&B and indie tunes. Stay here and dance, or move on to our last Saturday night spot.
Day 3: Sunday
Do: pub tour & treasure hunt
Cure the hangover hair of the dog-style and explore Edinburgh on a pub tour and treasure hunt. You’ll face a series of interactive challenges as you hop between the city’s best drinking spots answering fun, themed questions, photo challenges and trivia.
Eat: pub meal at Slug & Lettuce
End the weekend on a high with some good old fashioned pub grub on a Sunday afternoon. Whether you go for fish and chips, cheese and bacon burgers, curry or lasagne, it’ll be a great hangover cure before heading off home. You’ll get two courses each, so why not get something sweet as the cherry on the top of a fantastic weekend?
