Axe Throwing

It’s time to embrace your inner warrior as our expert instructors train you in the art of axe throwing. After a short safety briefing, you’ll hone your one-handed throwing technique, sending the American tomahawk spinning to hit a traditional wooden log target. As your technique improves, the instructors will put your skills and concentration to the test by moving you back – how many rotations can you achieve and still hit your target?

You'll have a full safety briefing then your instructor will begin the session by teaching some basic marksman skills, such as the right way to hold your blades, correct flick and angle of throw. Then you’ll be let loose on the target range, taking it in turns to hurl axes towards the bullseye, enjoying the satisfying thud of the blade burying itself into the wood.

This 1 hour activity is fantastic for parties and groups, and involves learning to throw an axe into wooden roundel targets. This ancient skill was practiced by knights during the Middle Ages, the Vikings and also by native American Indians who perfected the art of throwing Tomahawk axes.
