Dragon Boat Racing

After splitting into teams (and donning your optional fancy dress), you'll head out onto the water on your decorated dragon boat, with an experienced, qualified helmsperson to guide you, plus a drummer on board to set the rhythm. After learning how to paddle and steer effectively as a team, it’s time to go head to head in a series of thrilling timed races. The races conclude with a dramatic finale and prize giving.

This activity requires teamwork, skill, working in coordination and, most importantly, a desire to have fun! Two or more Dragon Boats, each with 8 to 10 participants, will be competing against each other. Each team elects a drummer boy at the start of the event. The drummer is in control of the timing and speed of the boat. All other participants are required to row in time with the drumming of the drummer boy. Organisation and efficiency is key to winning. Dragon Boat Racing is an ideal activity for anyone looking to have a fun and competitive water adventure.
